Honor Erikson
While defined as a Fine Art painter, Honor Erikson's works are as diverse as the subjects that inspire her. From human interest-style portraits to more traditional Impressionist-style landscapes, from water color to stencil to oil, Erickson has spent more than 28 years mastering her art.

Erikson, with a voracious appetite for color and texture, trained at the Connecticut School of fine Arts where she studied a variety of painting methods. After completing her training, her work was selected for display in the Jury Room at the New Britain Museum of Art. Just a few short years into her career, she was publicly honored by being named as New Britain's Artist of the Month.

Erikson continued to exhibit her works at Juried shows in New Britain, Guilford and Essex. She even spent some time teaching her craft at Michael's Art & Craft Studio in Newington where she conducted a class in water color for adult students.

After taking a lengthy break to raise children, Erikson has returned with gusto and recently began exhibiting her works at a variety of galleries and public spaces throughout the state of Connecticut, including the Berlin Library, North Light Gallery in Branford and the Shoreline Art Gallery at the Water's Edge Resort in Westbrook. Her paintings are priced from $600-$1500.

In addition to exhibitions, Erikson caters to individuals through private showings and commissioned work.

Erikson, mother of three and grandmother of one, currently resides in Branford, Connecticut with her husband and two cats.
