Betty MacKenzie Dew Former illustrator. Studied painting in Europe for seven years where she learned the "poetry of painting" instead of "Sunday painting". Continuing that seriousness, she has studied with Silvermine, Lou Bonamart, Charles Sovek, Betty Lou Schlem, Bob Crofut and others. She has won many awards for her work including best of show. An impressionist at heart, she is known for her landscapes and still lifes. She is especially interested in how light filters through and plays with her subject matter. |
